These unique hand carved Coral Stone bowls contain numerous marine fossils, minerals and other organisms that are estimated to be over 65 million years old! Types of fossils include: Solitary Corals, Gastropods, Pulmonates and Graptolites. These plants and animals dwelled in the shallow warm waters that covered parts of Asia in the Paleocene Epoch. During this period, movement occurred between the Indian and Asian plates causing them to collide. This process resulted in the rising of the ocean floor and the formation of the Himalayas.
